As we see the world a bit in shambles and darkness, the light that God is growing in our Nica family is becoming brighter each day. We have hope that this foundation will carry these future leaders into places of influence allowing God into the dark places He desires to bring His light to.  It's so humbling that God continues to use us here on the ground and we are so thankful for your obedience in prayer and support. We look to 2023 with confidence that God will take care of our family here.  Below are the ways He has shown us to do just that:

EDUCATION:

Private School:
We would like to increase the number of leaders attending the private school from 4 to 6 for this upcoming school year.  This enables them a better chance to eventually attend university or a quality technical school.
$720/year per student which covers registration, tuition, uniform and books

Graduates:
Senior leader Judith, who graduated last year, has been attending a technical school for accounting and computers. She has done so well that she has been accepted into a university to pursue an accounting degree.
$65/month
Senior leader Dayanna graduates in November and would like to enter a nursing program.
$65/month

School Supplies:
Our upcoming school supply program will take place in December. (the new school year begins the end of January)
$970 for basic school supplies for library members

Library Programs:
We would like to continue with our tutoring program which takes place 3 days a week. Tutor salary
$125/month
We would like to continue with our reading program which takes place on library day.
$15/month
Computer Center for teens which enables then to complete school projects.  Paper & ink
$40/month

MINISTRY NEEDS:

Retreat Cabins:
We believe that all the educational milestones we can complete will be useless without the personal knowledge our leaders need of Father God's intimate love and plans for their lives. A single day here and there can create momentum but, we have a vision of a place where they will spend days as a family encountering His presence and delving into His Word.  We believe that they will then be able to take what they have received and pour into the other children in their community. For this to happen we need to complete the construction of the cabins.  $10,000-$15,000

Transportation:
We are in need of a newer 'used' van to transport students into town to the private school, students to doctors' appointments and the moms and leaders to the retreats on our property (which is a 3-4 hour roundtrip drive).  The van we have is 17 years old and is constantly in need repair making it unreliable. $15,000-$20,000

Spending Fund for the immediate needs of the community:
We would like to continue to help with medical care, eyeglasses, required school uniforms and food items for the more needy members of our library system.  $100/month
